On Friday, May 24th, we’re at Connor's Hill for a Coffeehouse AND After Youth at Line's place! Coffeehouse will meet in the Youth Room at 7pm, and we will hear from Daniel Jimenez who is one of our supported missionaries in Mexico working with YWAM.
Immediately following Coffeehouse, we have After Youth! After Youth is for all Youth students and we walk just down the road to Line Fortier's house and spend time just hanging out! She has food and games ready to go for us so we are sooo thankful we get to do that! Pick up is at her house at 10:30pm!

If you are a women attending our Sherwood Park site, you are invited to a Women’s Spring Picnic on Sunday, May 26th from 4-6pm. Come enjoy food, fellowship, and the spring weather!
If the weather is nice we will have our picnic in the backyard of the church. If not we will picnic inside. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. The church will provide sandwiches and drinks. We ask attendees to sign up to bring a salad or a dessert. Please RSVP HERE by May 21st.

Start the Party is Central Baptist Church's Summer Day Camp for kids who are going into kindergarten to grade 6 as of fall 2024. It runs from July 15-19 at our Connors Hill Site (9419 - 95 St). Camp runs from 9am to 4pm each day with the exception of Friday. On Friday we will have a hot dog lunch that parents and siblings of campers are invited to. The Friday lunch will start at noon and end by 1:30pm.

How can we prepare to finish well in our lives to the glory of God? We invite you to a seminar discussing this topic on Tuesday, May 14th, for our Finishing Well Workshop. This will be in the Fireside room at Connors Hill at 7pm and is for attendees of all three sites. Pastor Tom Anderst will share his discoveries from a 3-month study on this topic. We will look at questions like “Why do some finish their lives poorly? What is the purpose of retirement? How can we prepare to finish well in life to the glory of God?” There will be time for questions and discussion. All participants will also receive a copy of Pastor Tom’s full study paper on this topic complete with resources. We will also discuss your ideas and interest in future seminars for the 55+ crowd. This seminar is aimed for adults in the 50-65 range, but all adults are welcome. Please RSVP HERE so we can prepare enough copies of resources.

Grab your work gloves and come join us for a morning of fixing up our church facility and property! We desire that our location in the middle of Sherwood Park would be both a beacon of light for the message of Christ as well as a place of great hospitality, and we know there are many small projects around the church that will help us to move toward both of these realities. So come on out on Saturday, May 11th from 8:30am-noon for a morning of working alongside other guys from our SP site. Men of all ages are encouraged to participate, and boys in High School are welcome to lend a hand if they accompany an adult. This is a casual potluck gathering with no ongoing commitment or set menu. If you have specific dietary needs, please bring your own meal to enjoy among friends. This is an opportunity to come together, share a meal, engage in conversation, and build fellowship with others in our church community.

On behalf of our Missions team, we would like to invite you to a Coffee and Dessert evening to hear about the work of Bezulu in the Southern African country of Eswatini. We will meet on Thursday, April 25th at 7pm-9pm in the Fireside Room at our Connors Hill site.
Joshua and Nadine Guenther were supported missionaries, sent out by Central in 2012 to work in Burundi, then later in Uganda. During their ministry in Uganda, they adopted two beautiful Ugandan boys, Oliver and Finn. They returned to Edmonton 2 and a half years ago. Josh has started working as the Executive Director of Bezulu, which helps forgotten children reach their fullest potential by working to restore and preserve families wherever possible.

Join us on Saturday, April 20th, at 7pm at our Sherwood Park site for an evening of worship. We will join together with those who are attending the Making Space Retreat and worship through a variety of different mediums including singing, prayer, and Scripture. Everyone is welcome to attend!
On Friday, April 19th, all youth will meet at Connors Hill for a great night together! We will be playing "Diamond Smugglers" which is an immersive game filled with excitement and intrigue! Can't wait!
Making Space | extended time with Jesus in the midst of a busy world. Join us for a weekend of “making space” for the presence and voice of God in our lives. This event will run at our Sherwood Park site April 19-20 (7pm-10pm on Friday and 9:30am-9:30pm on Saturday). Drinks and refreshments will be provided throughout the weekend along with lunch and dinner on Saturday.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll be guided along a path with extended time for worship, solitude, prayer and sharing what you’re hearing with others. There will be no pressure to pray or share in ways that are uncomfortable for you. The pace will be slow, and the impact will be deep. The retreat will end by joining many others from Central for a time of praise and celebration at the All Church Worship Night!
Open to adults and students Grade 10 and up; the cost to participate is $40 ($20 if bringing your own food)*. The retreat builds through the weekend, so please plan to participate in the full retreat. Click HERE to register. Please register by April 14th.

Youth Echelon, our Student Bible Study, is resuming!
Echelon is for students who want to dig deep. Echelon is open to all youth students but it is geared towards High School students. Echelon is a commitment based Bible study where students are expected to do homework, read scripture, have discussions and commit to weekly attendance.
We will meet on Wednesday evenings in the Youth Room at Connors Hill from 7-9pm starting April 10th. We will be studying the book of Acts using a great video teaching series by Louie Giglio. Check out the trailer video HERE!

Join us on Easter Sunday, March 31st, as we celebrate that Jesus’ death was not the end of the story. He is alive! These services are a great opportunity to invite a friend to consider the good news of Jesus and life found in Him. Easter Sunday services will be held at 9am & 11am at Connors Hill, Southeast, and Sherwood Park. We will also have a hosted online service at 10am that will be available on demand after 12pm.
Please note that Kids Ministry for young children (age 0-preschool) will be offered on Easter Sunday.
Every year, at the Easter Service, we receive an offering for ministries outside of Central. This year, our offering will go towards Mission of Grace in Haiti where Kim O’Dwyer, a Central supported missionary, is currently serving, and also to Camp Falcon Rock in Romania. Please be praying about how the Lord may be asking you to participate! For those who do decide to give, please clearly designate your offering for Easter.
