Critical Conversations

  • Connors Hill 9419 - 95 St NW Edmonton, AB T6C 4K2 Canada (map)

Central is hosting another Critical Conversations event on Saturday, April 22nd from 7-9pm at Connors Hill (9419 95 ST NW).

Critical Conversations is a ministry and outreach initiative that provides opportunities for parents or caregivers of young people, to gain expert insight on topics of importance to them and engage in conversation with others who may be asking similar questions.

The topic for the evening is “Kids, Teens and Technology” led by Dr. Lia Daniels, Professor of Educational Psychology at the UofA. She does research on how technology affects development of kids and teens. She will talk about technology use in kids and teens and cover things like: when to give your kid a phone, what are the effects of technology on growing kids, how to wean our kids off of technology if they are addicted, and more.

There will be time for discussion around tables, and then she will answer any questions you may have. God has challenged her to share her research in faith-based settings, so she is looking forward to sharing with us. She attends McKernan Baptist.

Admission is a $5 suggested donation. This event is open to the public. Please invite your friends who may benefit from this opportunity especially if they are without a church family of their own.
