Julia Penner is from Edmonton, however she has been serving with Youth With a Mission for the past 7 years. Beginning in Australia, God has led her to various nations around the world with the focus of engaging people with the Bible. She has been based with YWAM Switzerland for the past 3 years, where she pioneered a Bible School, as well as took a year long, inductive study throughout the whole Bible. Throughout this time, the Lord has built a passion in her for making the Word of God accessible for all nations.

Now Julia has committed herself to Oral Bible Translation, a new project that organizations like YWAM and Wycliffe have come together to see the last Bibleless languages receive a Bible. She has just spent the past 3 months in Papua New Guinea working to translate the Book of Ruth into the Bel language. She is home for a couple of months, and will be heading to Jerusalem to study Hebrew in order to then to be equipped to assist translations worldwide in accuracy and context!
