TEACHING RECAP
Summary: Ever feel like faith should come faster or make more sense by now? You’re not alone. For a lot of us, belief doesn’t show up in a single moment—it rises slowly, like the sun breaking through fog. If you're in the middle of questions or waiting for clarity, this talk might be exactly what you need.
Main Points:
Faith stirs in the dark, when questions or pain push us to start searching.
Faith awakens when we begin to see, as the pieces start coming together.
Faith deepens as we walk, still carrying questions but learning to trust.
On-Ramps:
Start searching. Questions and pain can lead to something good.
Pay attention. God may already be revealing more than you think.
Keep walking. Faith grows through trust, not just information.
Share your journey. Your story might help someone else take a step.
Discussion
What stands out to you from this passage? How does this passage most challenge or encourage you?
What question(s) do you have about Jesus and how could your question(s) lead you into deeper relationship with Him?
Following Jesus assumes that we’re always watching, listening, learning, and applying His life to ours. What attributes would someone who is following Jesus have versus someone who is just watching Him from a distance? Looking at those attributes, would you describe yourself as someone following Him or as someone who is watching Him from a distance?
How could your example of following Jesus while still having questions help someone who has just started a spiritual journey? How could it be an invitation for someone to start a spiritual journey?
How do you want to respond to this passage in your daily life?
PRAYER
How can we pray for you as a group?
