We’ll be watching the animated movie “The Star” as a way to welcome in the season of Advent and prepare our hearts for Christmas. Movie starts at 4:45pm. Tuesday, December 2nd, we’re continuing our fall series, Practicing the Way — and this week we’re diving into: Creating a Rule of Life
Transformation is possible, but not inevitable. Join us to learn how to build an intentional plan, or what the early Christians called a “Rule of Life”: a schedule and a set of practices and relational rhythms that create space for us to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did.
Bring a friend, come hungry (there’ll be snacks!), and get ready for a night of intentionality in our relationships with Jesus.

Hope Mission’s Family Wellness Program and Tegler Youth Centre are conducting a Toy Drive!
The Tegler Youth Centre will hold the 2025 Christmas Shop where parents referred by Tegler can “shop” for Christmas presents for free. To help provide a fun Christmas for these families, we will be collecting toys and other items on Tegler’s Christmas Wish List. Copies of the wish list are available HERE. You can donate starting Sunday, November 9th at all three sites. The last day for donating is Wednesday, December 3.
Tegler has also provided an Amazon wish list to help make purchasing easier for those who like to shop online and provide specific gifts idea for each age group, especially teens and older kids. Purchases don’t need to be made through Amazon. You can either purchase gifts directly from this list or use it as inspiration and buy things elsewhere!
Come enjoy connecting over puzzles or a Christmas-themed craft while enjoying deluxe hot chocolate and treats! We will meet in the foyer from 7-9pm on Wednesday, December 3rd. We will also do a cookie swap—bring a dozen, take a dozen!

December 5, get ready for Site Night from 7-9:30PM! Make sure to check the weekly email for where each site will be meeting! We’ll continue our inductive-style Bible study method for this year, as we learn how to read Scripture more closely! Expect games, food, and great community. If you can't make it tonight, don’t worry—join us at the next one!
Join us on Saturday, December 6th from 10am to 1pm in the foyer at Connors Hill for the Central Art Group. Bring any art or craft project you are working on and share in fellowship as you do art together! Children are also welcome! This group is run by Steph Dalmer and Joy Pedersen. We will also be supported A Safe Place, Sherwood Park’s women’s shelter and outreach. They are currently in great need of new pyjamas for women and children, and we would love to collect donations that evening to help meet that need. Let’s bless them this Christmas!

December 12th, join us from 7-9PM at the Sherwood Park site for an evening set apart to seek God together. We’ll dive deep into our year-long theme of discipleship–what it means, why it matters, and how it shapes our lives and our world. Come ready to learn, refocus, and connect with God and others.
You are invited to a morning of connection and prayer. The purpose is to meet for a time to connect with other women from Connors Hill over coffee/tea and to pray for each other and the world around us. It meets one Saturday per month at 10am. Bonnie Schwalfenberg leads this group; please email her for more information and to let her know if you plan to attend an upcoming date. There is no need to commit to every session - come when you can, and feel free to invite a friend!

Join us for a Prayer Ministry Night on Sunday, December 14th at 6:30pm at our Southeast site. This will be a time to lift one another up in prayer before the Father. Come experience hope, healing and God’s presence as we pray together for the needs on our hearts.
Get ready for the coziest night of the year—our Young Adults Christmas Party is happening December 16th, and you’re officially invited! We’re throwing a full-on pyjama party, so pull out your comfiest sweats, flannel pants, or that absurdly festive onesie you definitely bought on sale. We’ll be settling in with hot drinks, Christmas treats, and a showing of The Polar Express to kick off the season the right way.
We’re also doing a Secret Santa gift exchange, and we need everyone to register in advance so we can pair names and make sure no one gets left out. Gifts should be in the $15–$20 range, so keep it fun and thoughtful! Use the Google Form HERE to sign up, then grab a small gift and bring your holiday cheer. It’s going to be fun, nostalgic, and the perfect break from exams and work—don’t miss it! 🎄✨

Join us either in person or online on Christmas Eve for our celebration of Jesus’ birth. These one-hour services for the whole family will include Christmas carols, videos, and Scripture readings. While the services will be enjoyable for all ages, we plan to provide childcare for the youngest of our guests (ages 0-3). Towards the end of the service, we will join together in song and light candles, so for those joining us online please have some candles ready for lighting at the end of the service.
We will gather at 2:00pm and 4:00pm at Connors Hill, Southeast, and Sherwood Park. Our online service will be at 4:00pm, and will be available on demand the rest of Christmas Eve.

Join us either in person or online on Sunday, December 29th. We will gather for ONE service at 10am at Connors Hill, Southeast, Sherwood Park, and online instead of our usual 9am and 11am services. There will be no Kids Ministry, but self-serve spaces will be available for parents supervising their own children.
Our regular 9am and 11am service schedule will resume on January 4th.

... a tile in the Canadian National Mural Mosaic!
You are invited to join Central Art Group for a special Paint Night on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 6:30 - 9:00 pm, in the foyer at Connors Hill. We will be using painting kits from the National Mural Mosaic Project to each design and paint our own tile, which will be incorporated into a mosaic design that will be installed in a Canadian community in 2026.
You do not need to be a regular attender of Art Club or a skilled artist—everyone is welcome to be part of this special project! We hope that this evening is a fun event for all, whether as a date night, night out, or small group activity. Kits for our group will need to be ordered in advance; please RSVP by emailing Joy or Steph so they can order you a kit. November 30 is the RSVP deadline so that the kits arrive in time for the paint night.
