Bring any art or craft project you are working on and share in fellowship as you do art together! Children are also welcome! This group is run by Steph Dalmer and Joy Pedersen. You are invited to a morning of connection and prayer. The purpose is to meet for a time to connect with other women from Connors Hill over coffee/tea and to pray for each other and the world around us. It meets one Saturday per month at 10am. Bonnie Schwalfenberg leads this group; please email her for more information and to let her know if you plan to attend an upcoming date. There is no need to commit to every session - come when you can, and feel free to invite a friend!

Central Young Adults are back on Tuesday, October 21 with Part 4 of our fall series, Practicing the Way 🙌 It’s been such a meaningful journey together, and we can’t wait to keep pressing in. Join us Tuesday at 7pm at Connors Hill as we continue to learn, grow, and encourage each other.
There will be snacks (obviously 😎), good conversation, and plenty of time to connect.

Relating to adult children is radically different than parenting school age kids.
How do we do life with our adult kids?
Is it possible to do too much for our adult children and end up hurting them and their future?
Are we helping or enabling our adult child?
How should parents respond when they experience rejection from their adult kids?
What do we do when our adult kids choose values contrary to ours?
Jim Burns, founder of HomeWord ministries, has addressed these questions in his book “Doing Life with Your Adult Children: Keep your mouth shut and the welcome mat out.” We will watch a video of Jim Burns talking through the main principles laid out in his book. Then Pastor Tom will lead us through a large group discussion about the video. We will conclude with round table discussion and prayer.
This event is a 50+ seminar but all adults are welcome including parents of school age kids. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP HERE so we can plan accordingly.

Steele Heights Baptist Church is hosting the 2025 Greater Edmonton Missions (GEM) Conference on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th. The theme this year is “Growing Deeper.” Join the Alberta Baptist Association family to celebrate, and learn more about missions in local and international contexts. The ABA Global Operations Team is thrilled to invite you to come and participate in the NAB Gateway Short-term Missions Leadership Workshop (STMLW), included in the GEM Event.
Friday night, starting at 7pm, is the Youth Workshop & Worship Night. STMLW sessions are Friday afternoon and evening. Saturday, from 2-6pm, is the conference.

Join Pastor Tomas during the 9am service (9:15-10:15) at Connors Hill on October 26, November 2, November 9, and November 16 for Foundations, a course designed to help you learn the basics of following Jesus.
Whether you're new to the faith, coming back to faith after a while, or are just curious what it looks like to walk with Jesus, this 4-week foundation course is meant to help you learn the basics of following Him. Each morning will include a light, continental-style breakfast, teaching, discussion, and a practical 3-week devotional to compliment what you're learning and help you start walking with Jesus. Our hope is that you would attend the 11am service with us as part of the sessions with the people you're meeting at Foundations or with your friends and/or family. If you're worried about coming alone, feel free to invite someone to come with you!
We’ll meet in the Upper Room (size permitting). If registration exceeds 8, we will meet in the Youth Room. We’ll have signs up to direct you!

This class is for all three sites and is designed for those who would like to learn more about Central or for those who would like to formally join the church. If you'd like to join the church, please come prepared to share a 3-4 minute version of your faith story (in small groups).

On Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00 PM, we’re teaming up with the young adults from Steele Heights Baptist for a creative night at Connors Hill. We’re calling it Mug Shots — an evening of painting portraits of each other. Whether your masterpiece looks like fine art or more like a doodle, it’s going to be a night full of laughter, creativity, snacks and community.

Join us October 31st from 8-10:30PM for a night of dodgeball and friendly competition! We're teaming up with a few local churches for a tournament you won't want to miss. Bring water and invite your friends! No snacks will be provided, so make sure to eat dinner before you come! It will be at St Francis Xavier Sports Centre: SFXSC- Gym 3.
You are invited to join us for a Seniors Connection event at our Sherwood Park site on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 10-11:30am. Invite a friend and join us for some activities, teaching, and sharing—and, of course, plenty of snacks!
Geared for anyone 60+, this event is designed to be an opportunity to meet and connect with others in our congregation in some meaningful ways. We'd love to see you there!

Grade 5,6 students and their grade 5,6 friends from all three sites are invited to play Laser Tag on Monday, November 10!
We have a maximum capacity of 70 students, so pre-registration is required. If you do not pre-register, we cannot guarantee a spot. Students will have the opportunity to play up to 3 games of laser tag at the Laser City Facility (5104 67 Ave NW). Parents are responsible for bringing their child to the facility at 6:45pm and picking them up promptly at 9:00pm. Please arrive on time or you might miss your first game.
Cost is $15 per student payable by cash at the door or e-transfer to events@followingtogether.com.
Bring a water bottle. We will provide snack.

November 14-16th we will head to Camp Caroline for the annual ABA Jr High Retreat. We are really looking forward to it, since it is always such an awesome weekend of worship, learning from the word, and fellowship together!
We will leave from the Southeast site at 5:30pm on Friday and return by 4:30pm on Sunday. The cost is $135 per student and includes a T shirt. Sign up is open and we need everyone to register by Oct 24th, so please sign up ASAP and invite your friends! This is a high energy, high impact retreat for Jr High students across the Alberta Baptist Association churches.
