Come join us for an evening of learning, conversation, and goodies with Cory Seibel from Daybreak Counselling at our Critical Conversations event on Saturday, November 2nd from 7-9pm at Connors Hill (9419 95 ST NW).
Critical Conversations is a ministry and outreach initiative that provides opportunities for parents or caregivers of young people to gain expert insight on topics of importance to them and engage in conversation with others who may be asking similar questions. This event is for parents, grandparents and others who care for kids and teens. (Adults only - no childcare available.)
For many children and youth, learning to deal with big emotions can be a big challenge. This session will explore what it means for kids to develop a healthy relationship with their emotions. Attendees will be introduced to strategies that can aid them in helping young people learn to understand and express what they’re feeling. This session also will provide an age-by-age guide to helping kids & teens learn to manage their emotions.
The cost is a suggested $5 donation payable at the door or by e-transfer to events@followingtogether.com (specify Critical Conversation in the memo line). This event is open to the public. Please invite your friends who may benefit from this opportunity especially if they are without a church family of their own.
