An Evening with Kim O'Dwyer

On behalf of our Missions team, we would like to invite you to an evening to hear about the work of Kim O’Dwyer and Mission of Grace in Haiti.

Kim went to Haiti right after the earthquake in 2010 as a volunteer, then joined Mission of Grace full time and has been serving as the Mission director since January 2011. During that time, Mission of Grace has grown from an orphanage of 9 kids to an orphanage of over 175 children and has added an elderly home with 25 residents, a medical clinic, a church with 120 people in attendance each Sunday, a soup kitchen where they serve 400 people per day, and a Christian school with 530 students enrolled this past year. Mission of Grace seeks to daily meet the needs of Haitians through love and compassion.

We invite you to come hear from Kim about Mission of Grace, God’s faithfulness in the past, and their hopes and needs for the future. We will meet on Monday, September 30th from 7pm-9pm in the foyer at our Connors Hill site.

We are looking for people who want to make a difference in a kid’s life this summer. You can be a youth or an adult to help out. There are a wide variety of roles, from behind-the-scenes to leading a small group and everything in between. Some roles are completed before camp, and some are during the week of camp. This will be a full-day camp from Monday to Thursday and a half-day on Friday where we will end with a hot dog BBQ at lunch time.
