Summary: In order to live well, we need to see and understand how the world actually works. In this captivating, multi-layered, surprise-ending story, Jesus demonstrates his compassion and reveals why it’s so important to see him for who he really is.

Main Points:

  1. Jesus shoots down a question and performs a compassionate miracle to get his point across.

  2. The miracle sparks numerous reactions that reveal the hearts of the onlookers.

  3. The story ends with a surprise: the blind man can see and those who see are blind.

  4. The key to healthy spiritual vision is to recognize Jesus for who he really is—the Light of the World.
