Teaching RECAP

Summary: Are you thriving in life? Psalm 1 shares the basic biblical principles of how thriving works with clear directives on ways to hinder or deepen the abundance in our lives. Thriving is possible for every person, but it doesn’t come in the way we most commonly pursue it.

Main Points:

  • Thriving is an available option for your life, but not through direct effort.

  • Thriving is hindered through unhealthy counsel, choices and community.

  • Thriving is deepened through connection with God and his people.

  • Thriving is worth pursuing both for now and forever.

On-Ramps:

  • A starter structure for our lives…

  • Daily scripture and prayer.

  • Committed weekly worship.

  • Authentic Christian community.

  • Apprenticing with Jesus.
