TEACHING RECAP

Summary: One of the traps of our modern society is the idea that we can do this life on our own. This idea, however, goes against the most basic truth about what it means to be human. The truth is we are made to be in relationship with God and we are made to be a valuable part of His family, the church. Our passage today encourages us to see that each one of us, though we are many and diverse, form one community and each one of us belongs to all the others.

Main Points:

  1. God has created each one of us carefully and on purpose

  2. God has created us for community

  3. God has created you to be a part of the Body of Christ

  4. Your participation in the Body of Christ IS worship

On-Ramps:

  • God created you and has uniquely gifted you to be a valuable member of His Body

  • Take some time to dream about how you can be actively building-up and strengthening the Body of Christ
