Semester 3 of Youth Echelon, our Student Bible Study, is starting!
Echelon is for students who want to dig deep. Echelon is open to all youth students but it is geared towards High School students. Echelon is a commitment based Bible study where students are expected to do homework, read scripture, have discussions and commit to weekly attendance.
We will meet on Wednesday evenings in the Youth Room at Connors Hill from 7-9pm starting April 9th.
Friday, March 14th is a Central Youth Small Groups night! Each small group will be gathering for various activities; here is a link to the latest youth email with all of the details.
After this, there will be NO Friday youth gatherings until after spring break. Youth are encouraged to attend the All Church Worship Night on Friday, March 21st at Connors Hill.
On March 7-9 we will head out to Camp Caroline with the ABA for the Sr High Retreat! This is a high energy, high impact retreat for Sr High students across the Alberta Baptist Association churches.

For students not going on the retreat, there will be NO youth gatherings on March 7th.
On Friday, February 28th, we’re at Connor's Hill for a Coffeehouse AND After Youth at Line's place! Coffeehouse will meet in the Youth Room at 7pm.
Immediately following Coffeehouse, we have After Youth! After Youth is for all Youth students and we walk just down the road to Line Fortier's house and spend time just hanging out! She has food and games ready to go for us so we are sooo thankful we get to do that! Pick up is at her house at 10:30pm!
We are having an interest meeting for our Youth 2025 Mexico Missions trip on Monday, February 24th, at 7PM at Connors Hill. This will be a great night of information about the trip as well as the heart behind why we are going! Even if you are slightly interested in coming please come on out and hear more about what is going on.
RIGHT NOW we are looking for students who are interested in coming to Mexico. We want to get an idea of how many people are coming so that we can plan flights and other accommodations. So if you are even slightly interested, please check out the form and fill it out so that we can get an idea of the general interest. (Note that this is a different trip from the All Ages Mexico Trip proposed for spring 2026.)

On Friday, February 21st, all youth will meet at Connors Hill for a great night together! This night will be an awesome night of different games and sports at our Connors Hill site. Come on out for fun, board games, sports and video games! It's going to be a great night together!

On Friday, January 31st, Central Youth are invited to our Southeast site to play an immersive game of Clue! Move from room to room, interviewing characters and gathering clues—then propose your solution. Will you be able to solve the mystery?
This week we are going Skating! The weather looks good and we are excited to be heading to the Bonnie Doon Community League for an evening of skating! Bring your hockey sticks if you want to play some hockey, and we will have Timbits and hot chocolate for all!
Drop off is at Bonnie Doon Community League at 7pm and pick up is the same place at 9pm.
We’re planning a short-term mission trip to Mexico for spring 2026 and want to invite you to an interest night on Wednesday, January 22, from 6:30-7:30 PM (we will meet in the Fireside Room at Connors Hill.) This trip is open to families and those of all ages and is a fantastic opportunity to stretch your faith and connect with others while experiencing a new part of the world. The mission will be connected with our long-standing partnership with a church and other partners in Mexico. On Friday, November 29th from 7-9pm Central Youth will head out to Steele Heights Baptist Church to defend our title in their annual Dodgeball Tournament! Drop off and pick up will be at Steele Heights. There is a disco theme, if you feel like gettin’ groovy & dressing up!
November 15-17th we will head to Camp Caroline for the annual ABA Jr High Retreat. We are really looking forward to it, since it is always such an awesome weekend of worship, learning from the word, and fellowship together! Sign up is open and we need everyone to register before Oct 29th, so please sign up ASAP and invite your friends! This is a high energy, high impact retreat for Jr High students across the Alberta Baptist Association churches.

On Friday, November 8th we are bringing back a Central Youth classic game called "Bananarama"! This is a crazy event where we play many different games that all include bananas. Teams compete for the Ultimate Banana Prize! We will meet at the Sherwood Park site Please bring 2 bananas.

Sept 27-29 we will head out to Covenant Bay Bible Camp. We will LEAVE from Central (6pm from the Connors Hill site, 6:45pm from Southeast), and then return in time for all to hang out at the 11am service at Connors Hill. PICK-UP will be at 1:00pm for Southeast and Sherwood Park parents so they have time to drive to Connors Hill after their services are complete. PICK-UP for Connors Hill parents will be at the end of the service.

Sherwood Park youth parents, you are invited to a short but informative meeting on Sunday, September 15th, 2-3pm! We will share information about the Fall schedule of events, ideas, and logistics (such as planning carpooling) over some coffee and treats. We want to take time to hear about and pray for specific needs in your youth’s lives and about the school year ahead!

August 8-11 is Folk Fest down on Connors Hill and we are doing a parking fundraiser for our Tijuana 2025 missions trip! This fundraiser cuts a TON of money off the cost of each student and leader's trip and we need some help from our Central Youth to make it happen!
If you are a youth student thinking of coming to TJ 25, this is something that we're expecting you to help with so please make your best effort to come and help out for one of these time slots. If you can do multiple that would be great too!
