The monthly Alberta Baptist Association’s Hymn Sing is happening Sunday, March 23rd, and this time we are hosting! Join us at 6pm at the Connors Hill site together with churchgoers from around the city to sing hymns (and enjoy the recently refurbished organ), with fellowship and refreshments to follow. Please bring something to share (sandwiches, desserts, etc.) We look forward to worshiping with you!

Our next G@P gathering will be on Tuesday, March 4th at 6:30pm (note updated time) at our Southeast site.

You won’t want to miss this special evening with some of Central’s youth together with Southeast’s Youth and Worship leader, Mike Pronk. They will be leading us in music and then we’ll hear from them in regards to issues (both hard and heart warming) at school, sports, social media, and with friends. This will encourage us to pray more effectively for our own grandkids and their parents and our youth.

We’ll provide the pizza, assorted beverages and Timbits for $10/per person but we need you to RSVP HERE so we know how much to order. We hope to see you there! 

The Pre-Marriage course is a series of 5 sessions designed to help couples build strong foundations for their future by equipping them with the attitudes and practical skills they will need to help keep their relationship strong. Each session consists of a video on a specific topic and time for private conversations as a couple. The Pre-Marriage course is for couples who are exploring marriage or those who are already engaged.

The course is scheduled to start on Monday, March 3rd from 6:30-9:00pm at Connors Hill. Additional sessions will be on March 10th (7-9:30pm), March 17th (7-9:30pm), March 24th (7-9:30pm) and March 31st (6:30-9pm). A meal will be served on the first and last sessions. Please note we will meet half an hour earlier on those evenings.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN—it is limited to 20 couples and costs $80. If you would like to attend but finances are an issue, please let us know. The deadline to register is Friday, February 28th.

On Friday, February 28th, we’re at Connor's Hill for a Coffeehouse AND After Youth at Line's place! Coffeehouse will meet in the Youth Room at 7pm.

Immediately following Coffeehouse, we have After Youth! After Youth is for all Youth students and we walk just down the road to Line Fortier's house and spend time just hanging out! She has food and games ready to go for us so we are sooo thankful we get to do that! Pick up is at her house at 10:30pm!

Alpha is a series of fun group conversation evenings with great snacks centred around exploring the big questions of life, spirituality, and faith in a laid-back and non-judgmental environment.

It’s for those who want to explore or are rethinking their faith. If you are curious, skeptical, or just have honest questions, bring them to Alpha and explore them with new friends!

Alpha will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm starting February 26 and ending May 7. It will meet at the Connors Hill (9419 95 ST NW) site and is open to everyone.

We are having an interest meeting for our Youth 2025 Mexico Missions trip on Monday, February 24th, at 7PM at Connors Hill. This will be a great night of information about the trip as well as the heart behind why we are going! Even if you are slightly interested in coming please come on out and hear more about what is going on.

RIGHT NOW we are looking for students who are interested in coming to Mexico. We want to get an idea of how many people are coming so that we can plan flights and other accommodations. So if you are even slightly interested, please check out the form and fill it out so that we can get an idea of the general interest. (Note that this is a different trip from the All Ages Mexico Trip proposed for spring 2026.)

Young Adults, come on out for a painting night! We’ll gather at Connors Hill on Tuesday, February 4th, at 7pm. Whether you’re a seasoned painter or just looking to have some fun, this is your chance to get creative, enjoy some friendly competition, and connect with others in our young adults community.

We’ll provide all the painting supplies—just bring your creativity and competitive spirit! Light refreshments will also be served. Feel free to invite your friends! The more, the merrier.

Our next G@P gathering will be on Tuesday, February 4th at 7 pm at our Southeast site.

Whether you live close to your kids and grandkids or a distance away, you will want to hear Gord Poley share his experiences of long distance grandparenting. Gord and his wife have 4 daughters and 6 granddaughters and each summer travel back to the Maritimes to spend time with their grandkids. Gord will also lead us in music with his guitar.

Enjoy the fellowship of other grandparents who are praying that their grandkids will follow Jesus all the days of their lives. Refreshments and coffee will be available.

Grade 5,6 students and their grade 5,6 friends from all three sites are invited to come bowl on February 2nd! We will be meeting at Sherwood Bowl in Sherwood Park to “glow bowl”—so wear something that will glow in the dark.

We have a maximum capacity, so pre-registration is required. If you do not pre-register, we cannot guarantee a spot. We will be bowling from 2:45 - 4:15pm. Please arrive on time or you might miss your first game.

On Friday, January 31st, Central Youth are invited to our Southeast site to play an immersive game of Clue! Move from room to room, interviewing characters and gathering clues—then propose your solution. Will you be able to solve the mystery?

This week we are going Skating! The weather looks good and we are excited to be heading to the Bonnie Doon Community League for an evening of skating! Bring your hockey sticks if you want to play some hockey, and we will have Timbits and hot chocolate for all! 

Drop off is at Bonnie Doon Community League at 7pm and pick up is the same place at 9pm.

We’re planning a short-term mission trip to Mexico for spring 2026 and want to invite you to an interest night on Wednesday, January 22, from 6:30-7:30 PM (we will meet in the Fireside Room at Connors Hill.) This trip is open to families and those of all ages and is a fantastic opportunity to stretch your faith and connect with others while experiencing a new part of the world. The mission will be connected with our long-standing partnership with a church and other partners in Mexico.
