We are running a a collection for the Strathcona Food Bank as they collect lunch snack items for local families in need. Donations can be placed in the Sherwood Park foyer and will be collected through September 20th.
Food Ideas for donation - basically anything that is individually packaged.

Our annual Kickoff Retreat sign-up is live! We are so excited to re-launch weekly youth ministry and the new school year by spending time together and pursuing God! Our retreat will be at Covenant Bay Bible Camp from Sep 18-20. We will bus out from SE site together on Friday around 6:30PM, and then on Sunday bus 1 will do drop-off at SE and bus 2 will do drop-off at SP and CH in time for the 11AM service! The retreat will cost $120 if registered on or before Aug 26, and $130 if Aug 27-Sep 9. If you have any questions, let us know. Make sure to register with the Google Form and complete the ILOC and email it to mike@followingtogether.com.

Kids in grade 5&6 from Southeast are invited to join us for an evening of fun and s'mores at The Dytiuk's House on Friday, September 18th from 6:45pm-9:00pm. Remember to dress for the weather and bring a lawn chair!

Geared for anyone 60+, this event is designed to be an opportunity to meet and connect with others in our congregation in some meaningful ways. We'd love to see you there!

You’re invited to the Sherwood Park Men’s Chili Cookoff on Saturday, September 26th at 6:30pm at the Sherwood Park site!
Come hungry, because you’ll be sampling and scoring a variety of chilis—with a winner crowned at the end of the night.
This event will also serve as our Men’s Ministry year Kickoff event, where we’ll share upcoming opportunities to connect, grow, and get involved.
🔥 Want to compete? Bring your best pot of chili (and any secret toppings you think will clinch victory).
🍴Just tasting? Bring a muffin tin—it’s the perfect tool for sampling.
Snacks and drinks will also be provided. A $5 donation is encouraged to help cover costs.

On Sunday, September 27, between the 9am and 11am services at all 3 sites, join us to hear about the youth year we have ahead, our team, and the intended schedule for the upcoming three months! We would love to see you there, whether your students are new to youth or seasoned veterans.

The monthly Alberta Baptist Association’s Hymn Sing is happening Sunday, September 27th, and this time we are hosting! Join us at 6pm at the Connors Hill site together with churchgoers from around the city to sing hymns, with fellowship and refreshments to follow. Please bring something to share (sandwiches, desserts, etc.) We look forward to worshiping with you!
The Parables is an 8-session adult study designed to dig into these incredible teachings of Jesus and lead participants toward discussion and personal application.
This study will be taught by Christine Riggins & Hazel Schmidt and will include both personal and group study. Our group times together each week will include elements of both teaching and group discussion - all with the intention of helping each of us to take another step toward disciplined understanding of God's Word and personal application of what it says.
Fall Echelon is running every Wednesday from Sep 30-Nov 18! Echelon is for students who want to dig deep. It’s open to all youth students, but it’s geared towards those in High School. Students are expected to do homework, read scripture, have discussions and commit to weekly attendance.
This fall, we will be studying Colossians and Philemon and meeting site-specific. Southeast Site will meet in the SE sanctuary 6:30-8:30PM. Connors Hill will meet in the CH youth room 6:30-8PM. Sherwood Park will meet in SP youth room 6:30-8PM. There is no cost for the fall Echelon semester.
Merge is our mid-week discipleship program for students in grades 4, 5 and 6. We will be meeting on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30-8:00 in the large group elementary room. We will be meeting from September 30 to November 4.
This Merge session is an in depth study on spiritual gifts. Kids will do a spiritual gifts test on our first Wednesday and our teaching, games and discussions will be based on spiritual gifts in following weeks.
This study is intended for students who want to dig in, grow in their faith and commit to attending all evenings of the program. PLEASE consider this session for your child if they are ready to mature in their faith. We will have fun with friends, but the emphasis on these evenings will be primarily an academic setting with teaching, participating in discussion and following along with a lesson. This might not be the right event for your grade 4-6 child and that's okay! We have other events that suit all types of personalities and learning types.

We will meet on Wednesdays at Southeast in the Nursery from 6:30-8:30pm starting September 30th until November 18th.
Our study this fall is SPEAK UP!
This 8-week session for Grades 4–6 will help them discover what it means to talk with God. Through Scripture, interactive activities, and prayer stations, kids will explore different ways to pray - from thanksgiving and praise to confession, praying God’s Word, bringing their needs to Him, praying for others, and worship. The series ends with a celebration where the group will put their learning into practice!

Alpha will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm starting September 30 and ending November 11. It will meet at the Connors Hill (9419 95 ST NW) site and is open to everyone.
